Quick Tips for Cooking with Heat-Treated Iron
1. Use to heat-treated cast iron on any stove, oven or open flame.
Our heat-treated tableware can be used on all kitchen stoves, in the oven, on the grill, even in a fire or open flame.
Pro tip: to avoid scratching ceramic or glass cookware, never drag heat-treated cookware, always lift it.
2. Use metal, wood, or high-temperature silicone cookware.
Use any heat-safe cookware, including wood, silicone, and even metal. No synthetic coating for damage.
3. Use a handle or oven mitt.
Heat-treated cast iron can get very hot. Always use a handle or oven mitt when cooking.
4. Always heat and cool your heat treated iron gradually.
Letting your pan preheat slowly helps distribute the heat evenly and avoids hot spots on the cooking surface. No need to preheat if using the oven.

All our heat-treated products have been seasoned in our foundry for immediate use.

Truth: No. Even though our heat treated iron is rust and dishwasher safe, we do not recommend soaking your pan. If you need to remove sticky or stubborn food, use a nylon scrubbing brush or scraper and rinse with warm water. Be sure to dry the container thoroughly.

Yes. You can use a small amount of soap to clean heat-treated tableware.
